Yes,... most of the commercial grade hindy woods are usually painted and darkened to give the client a sense of "higher quality". This batch, however, is paint free and no modern-day oud-Picasso practiced on it. You can check the resinous veins in the wood in the pictures.
This batch comes from Jiribam in Manipur. The profile of this wood is floral, creamy woody, with hints of spicy saffron-like notes. It's one of the most beautiful and sought after profiles in hindy oud.
We are lucky, as one of the big commercial names in Assam & GCC had their eye on this wood. Luckily, through our network, we were able to secure the batch and have it here listed under our offerings for this price.
