When was the last time you experienced a traditional Cambodi Oil that packed a punch?
If you're expecting a light ethereal sweet oud oil, this is probably NOT it.
This oil opens with a blast of smoke, resin and incense. All of which are encapsulated with the richness of the traditional koh kong signature.... sweet dried fruits and syrupy red khmer caramel! It has the right amount of fruit fermentation nuances, and non of the cloying overly animalic aspect that's found in many of the so called "traditional cambodis".
This is the type of oil where 2 swipes might be an overkill.
Open the bottle ....sniff it with the dipstick still on.... and you'd still be able to smell it when you move around....yes...just by sniffing it, it sticks to your nostrils and keeps on whiffing! it's that kind of a beast.
The scent profile keeps a sillage of waves wafting. Waves of resinous smooth smokiness & cambodi fruits sweetness in a harmonized beautiful symphony.
Some people love the long longevity of an oil. Others, however, prefer a strong sillage and projection. With Cambodi Royal? You're getting both. Guaranteed!
This oil goes back to 2015 and was acquired of a dear old mentor of mine.
There wasn't much of logged information regarding the distillation and woods used, so I've listed it under the Organic collection due to this fact, as well as due to the favorable price point offered by my mentor.
My nose can't be convinced that this doesn't have wild woods in it. People who experienced old traditional Cambodis, will know what I mean. I dare to say that if this is not fully wild, then at least it must have had a big percentage of wild old wood in it.
Only after a swipe will you know what I mean.
This oil is definitely not for you if you're only used to ultra clean/ethereal oils.
However, if you're craving a Cambodi with a traditional old profile, a complex oil that leaves a trail...A Cambodi that's not overly animalic or cloying,..... then this is the one.
And by the way,....this oil has been aging since ≈ 2015
